Rediscovering Life
These days everyone is busy. Aren’t they? Busy
with studies, busy with work, busy with family… BUSY is the word today. Amidst
this busy life, has anyone tried to pause and think over their life? We are
caught in the vicious circle of planning and working. We work madly to achieve personal
and professional goals. I am not aloof of this vicious cycle but I want to sit
and relax with peace of mind thinking and thanking for what the Almighty has
blessed me with.
Do we really think that we have full control over our
lives? If anybody thinks so, I am afraid that person is wrong.
I want to go on a journey to rediscover myself and
my life without leaving my responsibilities. But, of course, with each step
becoming a better and peaceful person. Understanding yourself is the first step
and understanding others is the second step. I think if you understand both,
the life runs smooth with less or no friction.
Saying is always easier, I know. But trying can never
harm.
Life is really short. Enjoy with things that give
your inner peace and pleasure.
Here are some things, I feel, can make our life
better. I am concluding this on the basis of my experiences and also the
experiences of people who have been and still are a part of my life.
1. HAPPINESS: What makes you happy? How do you
measure happiness? Do things that make you happy. It can be reading books,
listening to music, watching TV, spending time with your children, parents, and
friends. Believe me; you can surely take out time for these.
2. CONTENTMENT: Contentment is a state of having accepted one's situation and
is a form of happiness only. Be thankful for what you have rather than
cribbing over what you don’t have.
3. BUILD RELATIONS: It is very difficult to build
strong and good relations. It takes lots of time and patience. Meet and talk to
people you like.
4. SPEND TIME WITH CHILDREN: Children are
adorable, innocent gifts of god. Spent time with them and their sheer innocence
will soothe you deeply.
5. SMILE: Nothing lasts forever, neither good
times nor bad times. So smile and let your smile last forever.
6. NEVER GIVE UP: Hard times will always be there.
Never give up your courage to fight against all odds. Tests make you strong.
7. HAVE FAITH IN THE SUPREME POWER: Pray and ask
for the well-being of your family and other people. Good deeds come back to you
always.
We are mere puppets in the hands of god. So, we can
just do our ‘Karma’ and leave everything to god. Not everybody is chosen for a
difficult work. The best is the chosen one. So, accept it gracefully and get
along.
Enjoy the beauty of nature that god has created and stay happy.
